A World UNESCO Site

A short two-hour overland journey to the north of Danang lies the former Imperial Capital of Hue, capital of Vietnam’s last royal dynasty, the Nguyen’s (1802-1945). Hue has the most extensive collection of artifacts and ancient structures from Vietnam’s 2,000 year royal era. The Hue countryside offers some of the most beautiful scenery and sights in all of Vietnam. The Valley of the Kings, site of the Royal Tmobs, lies at the foothills of the Central Highlands.

Air Service: Hue is served with daily air service from Saigon and Hanoi. Hue is reached via Highway 1 from Danang.

Brief Hue city tour followed by a morning visit the former Royal Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City which is a smaller replica of China’s Forbidden City. Enter the complex by the Ngo Mon (Noontime) Gate and set foot in magnificently restored Thai Hoa Palace.
