Far in a remote corner of Vietnam where its land reaches the tri-border area of Laos, China and Vietnam, in the Troung Son Mountain Chain, lies the former French hill resort of Sapa. Sapa nestles atop the mountains which are profuse with waterfalls, flora and fauna and endless numbers of ethnic minorities which have inhabited these mountains for centuries. The elevations of the mountains reach 10,000 feet. Previously Sapa required an arduous 10-hour overland journey in both direction; with the inauguration of the Orient Express inspired Victoria Express Train it requires a 10-hour day or night railroad journey across the Red River Delta in a special three-car train comprised of two-sleeper cars with either two-or-four berth rooms and a dining bar car. The deluxe train departs four times per week in each direction and has made travel to Sapa not only accessible but an enjoyable experience.

Rail Service: Sapa is not served by air; rail service is the only feasible transport to and from Sapa. See Victoria Express Train schedule at the end of tour itinerary for specific information.

Day 1 : Evening check out of your hotel at 8:30 pm and transfer to the Hanoi Railway Station to board the Victoria Express Train departing at 9:30 pm for Sapa. Express your journey across the Red River Delta in comfort.

Day 2 : Arrive Loa Cai on the Chinese border at 7:30 am. Meet guide and driver and transfer to Sapa. Transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day walking tour of town of Sapa and the areas surrounding Sapa. Free evening.

Day 3 : All day journey into the areas surrounding Sapa to visit villages of the ethnic minorities and the spectacular flora and fauna which abounds. Return to Sapa. Free evening.

Day 4 : Check out of hotel and transfer to Lao Cai to connect with the Victoria Express Train returning to Hanoi at 10:20 am.

Day 5 : Arrive Hanoi. Meet guide and driver and transfer to you hotel.
