Guides
All of our guides are highly experienced fully bi-lingual, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Thai and Laotian nationals who are professional full-time guides. All have between 2-to-10-years experience guiding tours from 1-to-30 people. All are trained by our American staff to international standards. Our guides consistently rate 9 or better on a 10-point scale by our passengers on After Tour Questionnaires. Our guides specialize in the three-parts of Vietnam: the South, the Center and the North. National guides are available for larger groups.

Ground Transportation
For vehicular transportation we use only late model, air-conditioned and clean vehicles, from 4-passenger automobiles to 9-passenger vans, from 19-passenger mini-buses to 50-passenger buses for larger groups.

We use native ground transportation also: cyclos (pedi-cabs), from the motorized carriage-cyclos in the Mekong Delta to the 1-and-2 passenger bicycle driven cyclos in Saigon and Hanoi. The cyclos are a native transport used by all Vietnamese and a journey to Vietnam without riding them is a journey with missed feelings of the country. We provide transport via cyclos where ever the trip and the enjoyment of our passengers will be enhanced by their use.

River and Ocean Transportation
Vietnam is a land of water, from the Goliath Mekong River’s to Ha Long Bay in the Gulf of Tonkin, from the Perfume River in Hue to the exotic small rivers and canals of the Can Tho area deep in the Mekong Delta. We book exclusively private transportation for our individual tour groups from ocean-going vessels for the South China Sea in the Gulf of Tonkin at Ha Long Bay to the coastal islands off Nha Trang in central Vietnam. We utilize 100-ton ferries and sampans in the Mekong Delta to Royal Dragon Boats on the Huong Giang in Hue patterned after the royal river craft of the Nguyen Dynasty.

Rail Transportation
With few exceptions, Vietnam rail transport is dismal. The exception is the Victoria Express Deluxe Train to Sapa, high in the northern Troung Son Mountain Chain. The Victoria Express is a 3-car train patterned after the Orient Express Train. 2-cars are sleeper-cars with 2-and-4 berth state rooms. The third car is a restaurant/bar car which offers passengers the best in Vietnamese and French cuisine for the journey. The 10-hour train journey begins in Hanoi and ends at Lao Cai on the Sino-Vietnamese border where passengers are shuttled to Sapa in the Troung Son Mountains. The journey, the destination of Sapa, and the return trip, are memorable to all.
